Chamber-Keepers to Various Tables c. 1686–?1702; 1713–
Chamber keepers below stairs were appointed by the clerks of the green cloth or, from 1782, the clerks of the household in rotation. The chamber keepers to the ladies of the bedchamber and yeoman of the guard made £20 apiece in 1713. (fn. 1)
