Prayers.

Hartlepoole Pier.

A BILL for the Repairing and Maintaining of Hartlepoole Pier was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Molin's Estate.

Mr. Crouch reports from the Committee to which the Bill to enable the Heirs of Michael Molins Esquire to redeem a Mortgage, and to be relieved against a Release, was committed, That the Committee had made some Amendments to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which Amendments, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Conference desired with Lords.

Ordered, That a Conference be desired to be had with the Lords, upon the Proviso, sent from them, to the Bill for the Royal Aid granted to his Majesty: And that Sir Thomas Meres do go up to the Lords to desire the Conference.

Sir Tho. Meres reports, That the Lords had agreed to a present Conference with this House, in the Painted Chamber, upon the Proviso to the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Pryn, Mr. Coventry, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Waller, and Sir Richard Temple, be appointed to manage the Conference.

Sir Thomas Meres reports, That the Members appointed had attended the Conference with the Lords.

Lords desire a Conference, &c.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Nathaniell Hobart and . . . Wm. Glascock;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords desire a present Conference with this House, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference, in the Painted Chamber: And have sent you down Two Bills: The One intituled, An Act to enable the Bishop of Winton to convey One hundred Acres of Land, lying in the great disparked Park of Bishops Waltham, in the Parish of Bishops Waltham in the County of Southampton, upon the Rector of the said Parish Church of Bishops Waltham, and his Successors, in lieu of all Tythes, and Payments for Tythes, due to the said Rector, and his Successors, for Waltham Parks: And the other intituled, An Act to enable the Lord Henry Powlett, George Withers, and John Mompesson, to sell the Manor of Abbots-Ann, in the County of Southampton: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Yarmouth Towns.

An ingrossed Bill for settling the Differences between the Two Towns of Great and Little Yarmouth, touching the Lading and Unlading of Herrings, and other Commodities, was read.

A Proviso was tendered to be added to the Bill; and twice read.

Supply Bill.

Sir Thomas Meres reports from the Conference had with the Lords, That they had agreed to the Amendment made by this House, to the Proviso, sent from the Lords, to the Bill for his Majesty's Supply; and had returned the Bill back to the House.

Message to attend the King.

A Message from his Majesty, by Sir John Eyton Usher of the Black Rod;

Mr. Speaker,

His Majesty commands this honourable House to attend Him forthwith, in his House of Peers.

And Mr. Speaker, with the House, accordingly went up to attend his Majesty.

Committees added.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee of Elections; viz. Mr. Langherne, Mr. Dunster, Sir Wm. Killigrew, Mr. Sandys, Sir Hen. Widdrington, Mr. Proger.

Derby Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown to make out a new Writ, for the Election of a Member for the Town of Derby, in the room of Mr. Roger Allestry, deceased.

Yarmouth Towns.

The House then proceeded in the Debate of the Proviso tendered to be added to the Bill concerning the Towns of Great and Little Yarmouth.

The Question being put, That the farther Debate of the Proviso be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine of the Clock;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.

And then the House proceeded in the Debate.

Resolved, &c. That the Blank in the Proviso be filled up with these Words, "within Three Years."

Which was done accordingly.

Resolved, &c. That these Words, "and that thereupon the Inhabitants of Little Yarmouth shall not, within Six Months after such Agreement, at their own proper Costs and Charges."

Which was done; and the Words twice read; and agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, with the Amendments agreed to, be made part of the Bill.

Ordered, That the Word "Heirs" be raised out in the several Places of the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That these Words, "for the Time being," be inserted in the several Places of the Bill, instead of "and their Successors."

Which was done.

The Question being put, That the Bill do pass;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That the Title of the said Bill shall be, An Act for settling of Differences between the Towns of Great and Little Yarmouth, touching the Lading and Unlading of Herrings, and other Commodities.

Privilege.

The House being informed of a great Abuse, and Breach of Privilege, committed by some Persons, in causing a Paper to be framed, printed, and published, at the Door of the House, containing the Bill for settling the Estate of Sir Robert Carre Baronet, now under Commitment, with Arguments and Reasons against the same.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Privileges, to examine who are the Authors, Printers, and Publishers of the said Paper; and report the same to the House, with their Opinion therein.

Ordered, That the Committee of Privileges have Leave to sit To-morrow in the Afternoon, if they see Cause.

Bills depending.

Ordered, That the Clerk of the House do, To-morrow Morning, bring in a List of the Bills now depending; and the House will then direct what Order they shall be proceeded in.
