Hertfordshire Roads.

AN ingrossed Bill for Continuance of a former Act, for repairing the Highways within the County of Hertford, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for Continuance of a former Act, for repairing the Highways within the County of Hertford.

Medway Navigation.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for making the River Medway navigable, in the Counties of Kent and Sussex, was read the Second time.

Lord Loughborough's Navigation.

Ordered, That the Bill to enable the Lord Loughborough to make the River navigable from Bristow Causey to the River of Thames, be read To-morrow Morning.

Costs in Actions.

A Bill concerning Costs in trivial and vexatious Actions was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to the same Committee to which the General Bill for regulating the Law was formerly committed, from whom the Bill was brought in.

Arrest of Judgment.

A Bill to prevent the Arresting of Judgment, and Superseding of Execution, was read the Second time.

Wood and Coals Assize.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee to which the Matter was referred, to examine the Abuses in the Buying and Selling of Coal, Wood, and other Fuel; viz. Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Waller, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Turgis, Sir Rich. Ford, Mr. Coventry, Colonel Birch, Mr. Boscawen, Sir Theo. Biddolph, Sir Tho. Higgons, Sir Tho. Clifford, and all the Members that serve for the Cities of London and Westminster, and the Counties of Middlesex and Surrey: And it is recommended to them, or any Three of them, to treat with the Lord Mayor, and to examine the Grievances, by the Retailers, in enhancing the Prices of Coals; and such Expedients as shall be offered for Redress thereof; and report their Opinions therein to the House.

Carr's Estate.

Ordered, That Robert Thirkill, Servant to Sir Robert Carr Baronet, do, on Friday next, attend the Committee to which the Bill for settling the Estate of the said Sir Robert Carr was committed, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to give his further Attendance as the Committee shall appoint.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That Sir John Frederick, Mr. Wynne, and Mr. Purcell, be added to the Committee of Privileges and Elections.

Charles I's Creditors.
