06/07/1396 Hythe (Kent) Order to the warden of the Cinque Ports or his lieutenant to admit the bailiff appointed by the archbishop of Canterbury as lord of the town of Hythe, and to allow the archbishop to enjoy his rights in the town, including the market, fair, tolls and other profits, as he and his predecessors have had since time out of memory; whereas the warden has newly refused to admit the said bailiff and the cause has been debated before the king.
