[23 June, 1649.]

That liberty be given to all Officers and Souldiers, who have money due to them in arrear from this Commonwealth, for their service in the late Wars, to double the same upon Dean's and Chapters Lands, in such manner, and with the same advantages as others are admitted to double, as wel by their Assignees as themselves. Provided, That such Arrears be stated and allowed of by the Committee for the Army, or any other Committee or Commissioners appointed by authority of Parliament, for that purpose: and that for the moiety to bee advanced in ready money, Interest bee allowed after the rate of 8l. per cent. to all that shall desire to double, and doe pay in their money before the 20th of July next, and for the other moiety no Interest to be allowed.
