Cambridge Pest-houses.

A BILL for erecting Pest-houses at Cambridge, was read.

Ordered, That the Bill be read a Second time, on Thursday next.

Wiseman's Estate.

A Bill for the better enabling Sir Richard Wiseman, and John Plott and their Heirs, to perform a Trust, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Mr. Pryn, Mr. Vaughan, Sir John Moreton, Sir Soloman Swale, Sir Richard Browne, Sir John Denham, Sir Robert Carr, Sir John Brampston, Sir Thomas Dike, Sir Henry Cæsar, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Coventry, Mr. Seymour, Sir William Doyley, Col. Phillipps, Mr. Westphaling, Sir John Terrill, Sir Rowland Birkley, Sir Thomas Tompkins, Sir John Talbott, Sir Nicholas Carey, Mr. Otway, Sir John Berkenhead, Mr. Kent, Sir Richard Oatley, and all that serve for the Counties of Essex and Middlesex: And they are to meet on Tuesday at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Regulating Fees.

A Bill for Regulating and Ascertaining of Fees, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read the Second time, on Tuesday next.

Writs of Certiorari.

An ingrossed Bill to prevent Abuses in granting Writs of Certiorari was read: And some Amendments being proposed, and debated; some Members were appointed to withdraw; and consider how it might be amended.

Thefts and Robberies.

Ordered, That Mr. Vaughan, Sir John Denham, Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Charles Harborde, Sir Thomas Osborne, Sir John Talbot, Col. Windham, Col. Sandis, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Tho. Clergis, Lord Fitzharding, Sir John Moreton, Col. Birch, Sir John Holland, or any Three of them, be appointed to attend the Lord General, to advise with him, for securing the Highways against Thefts and Robberies.

Writs of Certiorari.

Sir Robert Atkins reports, That the Committee had agreed the Amendments to the Bill touching Writs of Certiorari: Which being twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to, were inserted into the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And, that the Title be, An Act to prevent Abuses in granting Writs of Certiorari.

Reading of ingrossed Bills.

Ordered, That no ingrossed Bill be brought in to be read, till the same be examined by the Chairman of the Committee, to which it was referred, and the Clerk of the House.

Publick Accounts.

A Bill for taking the Accounts of publick Money, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be the Second time read on Tuesday next.

Impeachments.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to look into ancient Precedents of the Method of the Proceedings of this House, in Cases of Impeachments for capital Offences:

Lewis, Sir Francis Goodricke, Sir Robert Herbord, Sir John Holland, Mr. Hardes, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Waller, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Robert Charleton, Sir John Berkenhead, Lord St. Johns, Mr. Peipes, Mr. Mountague, Sir Charles Wheeler, or any Five of them; to meet this Afternoon at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Committees.

That all Committees, saving the last appointed, be adjourned till Tuesday Morning next.
