Northern Borders.

ORDERED, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to prevent Theft and Rapine, in the Northern Borders of this Kingdom.

Squibb's Estate.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable the Sale of certain Lands in Winterborne Whitechurch, in the County of Dorsett, lately belonging to Lawrence Squibb Esquire, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Lord Maynard's Estate.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for rectifying a Mistake in a General Settlement of my Lord Maynard, upon the Marriage of his Son, was read the Third time.

And a Proviso; by way of Addition, was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and read a Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Proviso, do pass; and be returned to the Lords.

Earl of Manchester's Estate.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Robert Earl of Manchester, to sell Lands for Payment of his Debts; and for settling other Lands, of a greater Value, in lieu of those appointed to be sold; was read the Third time.

And, a Proviso being tendered to be added to the Bill;

The House ordered the Bill to lie on the Table, for Three or Four Days, before they entered into Debate of it.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That the Reports from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, be heard on Wednesday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock.

Taking Affidavits.

Mr. Sawyer reports from the Committee to which the Bill to enable Commissioners to take Affidavits in the Country, . . . . several Amendments agreed by the said Committee: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where they were again twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Supply Bill; building Ships.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed upon the Bill for a Supply to his Majesty for Building of Ships.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir John Trevor reports from the Committee of the whole House, That they had made some Progress in the said Bill: And humbly moved the House, from the said Committee, That the House would appoint a Committee to ascertain and settle the Payments and Proportions upon the several Counties and Cities; and to provide Sums to fill up the several Blanks in the Bill; and to consider of the several postponed Clauses, relating to Judicial Offices: And that the House would order, That the several Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, may bring in their several Lists of the Commissioners, on Thursday next: And likewise moved, from the said Committee, That the House would resolve itself again into a Committee of the whole House, on Thursday next, further to proceed upon the said Bill.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed to ascertain and settle the Payments or Proportions upon the several Counties and Cities; and to provide Sums for the filling up the several Blanks in the Bill; and to consider of the several postponed Clauses, relating to Judicial Offices: And it is referred to Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir John Ernle, Sir John Knight, Sir Wm. Thompson, Mr. Spry, Sir Richard Ford, Lord Obrian, Mr. Love, Mr. Solicitor General, Mr. Sawyer, Sir John Trevor, Mr. Papillon, Sir John Berkenhead, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Powle, Sir Edward Deering, Sir Wm. Lowther, Col. Byrch, Sir Edward Baynton, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir John Mallett, Sir Courtney Poole, Sir Tho. Lee, Sir Eliab Harvey, Sir Phil. Warwick, Mr. Williams, Sir Hen. Ford; or any Five of them: And they are to meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Resolved, &c. That the several Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, do bring their several Lists of the Commissioners by Thursday next, to be inserted in the said Bill.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, further to proceed in the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
