Children of English Subjects Nat.

A BILL, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the Naturalization of the Children of his Majesty's English Subjects born in foreign Countries during the late Troubles, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Sir Charles Wheeler, Sir Edm. Windham, Mr. Wynne, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Crouch, Sir John Mallett, Sir Roger Bradshaw, Sir Richard Everard, Mr. Williams, Sir Richard Graham, Col. Sandys, Captain Price, Mr. Marvell, Mr. Robert Wright, Sir Lionel Walden, Mr. Sackvile, Mr. Cholmley, Sir Hen. Ford, Sir John Bramston, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Sir Cha. Regulating Attorneys.

A Bill to prevent vexatious Suits; and to regulate Abuses; and limit the Number of Attorneys, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Supply Bill; Excise.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in, pursuant to the Vote of this House, for Continuance of the additional Duty upon the Excise; And it is recommended to Mr. Solicitor General to prepare and bring in the Bill.

Hamburgh Company.

A Petition of Benjamin Dennis, Thomas Rolfe, Edward Lloyd, John Newton, Amos Ford; and Francis Hooper, on the Behalf of themselves, and others, Creditors of the Company of Merchant Adventurers of England, commonly called the Hamburgh Company, was read.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That the Lord Burleigh have the Leave of the House to go into the Country.

Passes for Ships.

Mr. Wright reports from the Committee to whom the Matter concerning the Granting of Passes for Ships, was referred, That the Committee had taken the same into their Consideration; and had agreed upon several Votes or Particulars concerning the same: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were again read.

And, a Debate arising thereupon;

Resolved, &c. That it be recommended from this House to the Lords of the Admiralty, by such Members of this House as are in the Commission of the Admiralty, that the Granting of Passes may be easy for the Merchant; and to remove the Obstructions to Trade.

Exporting Leather.

An ingrossed Bill to revive and continue a late Act, giving Liberty to buy and export Leather and Skins, tanned or dressed, was read the Third time.

Ordered, That the Bill concerning repairing Yarmouth Pier be read on Wednesday next.

Liberty of the Subject.

An ingrossed Bill for better securing the Liberty of the Subject, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for the better securing the Liberty of the Subject: And that Sir John Knight do carry up the said Bill to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which are discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Three of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.
