Earl of Warwick and Holland's Estate.

MR. Crowch reports from the Committee to whom the Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable the Guardian of the Right honourable Edward Earl of Warwick and Holland, to make Leases of several Messuages herein after-mentioned, during his Minority, rendering the improved Rent; That the Committee had taken the same into their Consideration; and had perused the Bill; and returned the Bill without any Amendment.

Delays in Suits.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to revive and perpetuate a former Act, intituled, An Act for avoiding unnecessary Suits and Delays, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Mr. Greenvile, Mr. Mallet, Sir John Frederick, Mr. Spry, Mr. Mainard, Sir Adam Browne, Sir Row. Barkeley, Sir Tho. Lee, Sir John Barnaby, Mr. Whittacre, Sir John Hobart, Mr. Boreman, Sir Rich. Everard, Serj. Stringer, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Hall, Colonel Birch, Sir Fr. Drake, Colonel Titus, Sir Fr. Rolles, Sir Ph. Warwick, Sir Tho. Littleton, Major Broxholme, Sir Fr. Clarke, Mr. Love, Sir John Mallet, Sir Wm. Thompson, Sir John Rolles, Sir John Norton, Sir Edm. Windham, Mr. Childe, Mr. Buscawen, Sir Tho. Bludworth, Dr. Arris, Mr. Jones, Sir Lan. Lake, Sir Trevor Williams, Mr. Wright, Sir Thco. Biddolph, Mr. Culliford, Mr. Papillon, Mr. Marvell, and all the Gentlemen of the Long Robe: And they are to compare the Title of the former Act with the Bill; and to peruse and consider the said former Act: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Church Rates, Tythes, &c.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the better Payment of Church Rates, small Tythes, and other Church Duties; and for the better Passing of Church-wardens Accompts; was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be rejected.

Herring's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill to enable Trustees to sell Lands for the Payment of the Debts of John Herring, deceased, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act to enable Trustees to sell Lands for Payment of the Debts of John Herring, deceased.

Bills sent to Lords.

Ordered, That Sir Adam Browne do return the Bill on the Behalf of the Lady Rodes; and Mr. Gery's Bill; and the Bill to enable the Guardian of the Earl of Warwick to make Leases of certain Messuages, to the Lords: And do carry up the Bill for discharging the Manor of Winstead in the County of Yorke, of a Settlement in Tail; and charging other Manors and Lands in the County of Lincolne, of a greater Value, with the same Uses; and the Bill for enabling Trustees to sell Lands for Payment of the Debts of John Herring, deceased; to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Poll Tax.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the Committee appointed to draw up an appropriating Clause, to be added to the Bill for raising Money by a Poll, a Clause agreed by the Committee: Which he delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was twice read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Clause be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of the whole House.

Ditto.

The House then resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed further in the Consideration of the Bill for raising Money by a Poll.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Edw. Deering took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Edw. Deering reports from the said Committee, That they had gone through the Bill and Clauses referred to them; and had made several Alterations and Amendments: And moved, That he may have Leave to make his Report thereof To-morrow Morning.

Resolved, &c. That the Report of the Amendments to the Bill for raising Money by a Poll be received Tomorrow Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
