Prayers.

London Magistrates.

ORDERED, That the Order of Reference to the former Council of State, of the Third of October 1652, touching the Differences between the Lord Mayor and Aldermen of the City of London, and the Common Council of the said City, be renewed to the now Council of State, with the Powers, in the former Order.

Cheshire.

Ordered, That the Cheshire Business be taken into Consideration on Wednesday next, the first Business.

Great Seal.

Ordered, That on this Day Sevennight, the new Great Seal be brought in; and that the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England do bring in the now Great Seal at that Time.

Admiralty.

An Act for reviving and continuing of an Act, intituled, An Act enabling the Council of State to exercise the Powers belonging to the Office of the Lord Admiral, was this Day read the First and Second time.

Resolved, That the First of December 1652, be the Time for Continuance of this Act.

And the Question being put, that this Act, so amended, be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.

Scotch Affairs.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider and give Order how, and when, the Declaration to be sent into Scotland may be printed; so as Copies thereof may be ready in the House to be delivered to the Commissioners, at the same time with the Instructions.

Instructions for the Commissioners, appointed by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of England, to go into Scotland, to . . put into Execution, were this Day read the First time, at large.

Resolved, That all the Members of Parliament be and are enjoined Secrecy as touching these Instructions, and the Matters therein contained, until the Parliament take further Order.

The said Instructions were afterwards read by Parts.

The Question being put, that these Words, "of the Scottish Nation," in the Instruction, do stand.

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That these Words in the Seventh Instruction; viz. * * *, do stand;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, that these Words, viz. "English or Scotts," do stand, in the Seventh Instruction;

It passed with the Negative.

Resolved, That the Word "Observation," in the Seventh Instruction, be made "Observance."

The Question being put, That the Word "whomsoever," in the Ninth Instruction, do stand;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Words "may be," in the Ninth Instruction, do stand;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That these Words "of the Scottish Nation," be added in the Sixth Line of the Tenth Instruction;

It passed in the Negative.

Ordered, That this Instruction be re-committed to the Council of State; to be brought in To-morrow Morning.

The Eleventh Instruction being read;

Ordered, That the Eleventh Instruction be likewise re-committed; to be brought in To-morrow Morning.
