PRAYERS.

Assessments.

ORDERED, That be referred to the Committee of the Army, to confer with the General, and Officers of the Army, How the last Six Months Assessments may be raised, and paid to the Soldiers; and to consider, What Obstructions there are in the Payment thereof; and present them to the House, that some Course may be taken therein: And this Committee is injoined to sit this Afternoon.

Army Committee.

Ordered, That the Lord Gray, Sir Henry Mildmay, Colonel Rigby, and Mr. Lisle, be added to the Committee of the Army.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein.

Mr. Dove is to carry it to the Lords.

Col. Eyre.

Ordered, That the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall be required forthwith to disburse and pay the Sum of Two hundred Pounds to Colonel Eyre, Governor of Hurst Castle, or his Assigns: And that the Treasurers do reimburse themselves of the said Sum, out of the Remainder of the Fine of Sir Charles Keymish, not yet charged.

Sheriff of Huntingdon, &c.

Ordered, That Henry Pickering Esquire, formerly nominated High Sheriff of the County of Huntingdon, be also nominated High Sheriff of the County of Cambridge.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein.

Ordered, That Henry Pickering Esquire, High Sheriff of the Counties of Huntingdon and Cambridge, have Liberty to go out of his Counties to London, upon his Occasions, as he shall find Cause; so as he look carefully to his Charge in the said Counties.

Mr. Dove is to carry it, and also the Order for Mr. Brookes, to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Robert Binlos Baronet have Leave. for Six Months, to go into France, for Recovery . . his Health: And that he have Leave to transport Two Horses, Custom and Impost free.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Dove carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Order for adding the Lord Gray, Colonel Rigby, and Sir Henry Mildmay, to the Committee of the Army: Order for the Treasurers of Goldsmiths Hall to pay Two hundred Pounds to Colonel Eyre: Order for nominating Henry Pickering High Sheriff for Cambridgshire, as well as for Huntingdon: And Order for giving him Liberty to come to London about his Affairs.

Militia.

Resolved, &c. That the Ordinance for settling the Militia of the Kingdom be repealed.

Ordered, That Mr. Rigby and Mr. Hill do bring in an Ordinance, to that Purpose, To-morrow Morning.

Lancaster Militia.

Ordered, That an Ordinance be brought in, for the Repealing of the Ordinance for settling the Militia of the County of Lancaster.

Secluded Members.

The Question being propounded, That a Committee do go to the General, to know of him, Upon what Grounds the Members of the House are restrained from coming to the House, by the Officers and Soldiers of the Army;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So the Question passed with the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee do go to the General, to know of him, Upon what Grounds the Members of the House are restrained from coming to the House, by the Officers and Soldiers of the Army.

Mr. Serjeant Thorpe, Mr. Solicitor General, Colonel Bosevile, Mr. Allen, Mr. Purefoy, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Challener;

This Committee, or any Three of them, are to go to the General, to know of him, Upon what Grounds the Members of the House are restrained from coming to the House, by the Officers and Soldiers of the Army: With further Power, to acquaint the General, How far the House hath proceeded upon the Proposals of the Army.

Navy.

Ordered, That the Order formerly appointing the Ships to guard the Isle of Wight, be taken off: And that the said Ships be used for the most Advantage for the Commonwealth.

Ditto.

The Question being propounded, That a Letter be written to the Lord Admiral, desiring him to come hither, to confer with the Committee of the Navy, concerning the Affairs of the Navy:

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It passed with the Negative.
