Mr. Lowther reporteth the Bill concerning setting Prisoners on Work, with Amendments; which twice read. - Much debated, and at length, upon a double Question, of re-committing and ingrossing, rejected.

Fishing, &c.

Sir Ro. Crane: - That above 300 Ships and Boats, for Fishing, now ready: 60,000l. per Annum Benefit. 3,000 Manners dare not now stir out.

Recusants.

Ordered, Monday in the Afternoon the House to sit, and then shall specially considerof the Presenting of Recusants.

Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Serjeant Tho. Crew, bring from the Lords Two Bills: One for Increase of Trade: The other, to make the Arms of this Kingdom more serviceable.

Evils, Causes and Remedies.

Upon Mr. Wandesford's Report from the Committee for Evils, Causes, and Remedies, the Committee hath Power to send for any Persons, and publick Records, Lists, or Rolls, as they shall think fit, to inform them ; and to give this Power to the Sub-committee, by them to be named.

Ditto.

The House sat again as a Committee; and after Mr. Speaker took his Chair; and Mr. Wandesford reported the Six Heads, delivered by Dr. Turnor on Saturday last, against the Lord Admiral. - That Dr. Turnor hath by his Letter, referred himself to the said Heads, as they were taken and read by Mr. Wandesford, upon Thursday last; and were as followeth ........

Upon Question, a Committee of the whole House, to take Consideration of his Majesty's Message concerning Dr. Turnor; with Power to make a Sub-committee; and as well the grand Committee, as the Sub-committee, to have Power to send for any Persons, Records, &c. to inform them.
