Obedience of the Subject.

THE Bill to retain the King's Majesty's Subjects in their due Obedience : - Second Reading, and committed to the former general Committee for Matters of Religion.

Ministers.

The Bill for the better Relief of Preachers and Ministers, within Cities and Towns-corporate: - First Reading.

Cloth Trade.

The Bill, touching Wools, and Trade of Cloth : - First Reading.

Ditto.

The Bill, concerning the Lengths of Woollen Cloths and Kerseys, and the Forfeitures due for the same : -

The first Reading.

Deer, &c.

The Bill against unlawful Hunting of Deer and Conies, brought in by Sir Jo. Boys, from the Committees, with Amendments; which being thrice read ; and the Bill was put to the Question.

Mr. Noy, contra; Sir Geo. Moore, pro; Sir Tho. Hobby, pro.

Sir Herbert Crofts, in Defence of the Speaker's not opening the Bill, but letting them only know, what....

The Yea satisfied, upon the Division of the House, that they lost it; and so the Bill dashed.

King's Household.

Mr. Buller bringeth from the Committee, the Bill for the Assignment of certain Sums of Money for the King's Household; with Amendments; and, being read, ordered to be ingrossed.

Manslaughter.

The Bill to take away the Benefit of Clergy for some Kind of Manslaughter, thirdly read : Upon the Question, passed.

Ecclesiastical Affairs.

Mr. Duncombe moveth, that, touching the Inhibition of the Convocation-house, a Conference might be desired.

Objectionable Publications.

Touching the Submission of the Bishop, to be sent for -

Sir Wm. Morrice, contra.

Sir Rob. Wingfield: - That a Message might be sent, for Conference.

Sir Herbert Crofts -

Q. Whether a Conference with the Lords.

Resolved, touching the Matter delivered by the Bishop at the Conference, for inhibiting this House to deal in Matters of Religion, to desire Conference for this.

For the Submission of the Bishop ; to desire it publickly in the House, before the Lords; and that the Books might be prohibited.

Mr. Speaker.

When the Speaker desires to speak, he ought to be heard, by Order.

The Proviso to Mr. Littleton's Bill, thirdly read, and passed upon the Question.

Printing.

The Committees in the Bill of Printing, bring it in, with some Dislike ; but leave it to the Consideration of the House.

Answer from Lords.

Sir Fr. Hastings reporteth, that the Lords will consider of the Messages, and send Answer.

Brydewell Statutes.

The Bill of Brydewell, to be stayed till Monday.

The Bill against the Resiance of Masters of Colleges, with their Wives and Children, in Colleges: - Third Reading, and passed, upon the Question.
