The Bill for the Sale of the Lands of Edward Downes Esquire for Payment of his Debts, secondly read, and committed to Sir John Heigham, Sir Rich. Browne, Sir Charles Cornwallys, Sir Rob. Wingfield, Sir Edw. Lewknor, Sir Jerome Horsey, Sir John Peyton, Sir Wm. Cornwallys, Mr. Nath Bacon, Serjeant Hubbard, Serjeant Tanfield, Burgesses of Norwich, Sir Geo. Fleetwood, Sir Rob. The Proviso, in the Bill, touching the Limitation of Prescription, brought in from the Committee, by Mr. Moore, with some Amendments; and the Bill, upon the Question, being rejected, theProviso never put to Question.

The Bill for the Reformation of Abuses in Alehouses, late converted into Inns: - The second Reading, and committed to the former Committees for the Bills of Alehouses,

Saturni, 21o Die Aprilis, 1604, and are appointed to meet on Friday, in the Middle Temple Hall.

These added to the former Committee: Sir Geo. Fleetwood, Mr. Alford, Sir Wm. Burlacy, Mr. Johnson, Sir Tho. Holcroft, Sir Edm. Bowyer, Sir Jo. Thynne.

Letter from the King.

Mr. Hyde, Sir Rob Wingsfield, both move, that the King may be informed, how we take this last Letter to Heart.

Sir Wm. Stroud, out of his Fear, that the King was misinformed : - Every Man that hath Access to the King to purge himself of Tales to the King, or to any Counsellor ; whereby he hath been mistaken, or mis-informed.

Sir Wm. Stroud explaineth himself, - every Man, that hath Access.

Put to Question, whether Sir Fr. Hastings, or Sir Rich. Luson, should stand up : Resolved, Sir Fr. Hastings. -

To sift out the Detractor. - Wisheth, that we should address ourselves to the King, to satisfy him.
