Disposition Book XI, p. 153.
Same to Mr. Blathwaite, enclosing for the King's pleasure thereon a draft warrant [missing] for allowing several sums to Col. Erle upon account of (arrears of) his Regiment. My Lords think this draft conformable to the resolutions which the King took at Kensington before his departure for Holland, but desire to be satisfied in this. They find that there are pretensions of this nature to be made for most of the Regiments (at least for many) that served in Ireland, “which their Lordships will not presume to judge of by themselves, but will in a short time cause an abstract to be made of them and send the same over to you to receive his Majesty's pleasure thereupon.” Out Letters (General) XIV, p. 54.
