Mandate to excommunicate John de Breydon, canon of Salisbury, and Thomas Hotofth, rector of Pontragach, in the same diocese, until they restore to liberty John Bonaure, canon of Chichester, and Bernard Viventis, canon of Bazas, and Peter Viventis, nephew of Bernard, John being proctor and Bernard sub-executor of Galhardus, cardinal of St. Lucy's in Silice, to whom provision was made of the prebend and treasurership of Salisbury, void by the death of Walter de Wivill. The archbishop has been already commissioned to cite the said John and Thomas, who, in contempt of the apostolic see, have caused the said proctor and sub-executor to be imprisoned. If these are not released within eight days John and Thomas are to come before the pope to do and receive what justice demands. |

At the time of the provision made to Thomas he was under age, the prebend being a priest-prebend; but as Alan has since resigned his right, Thomas is appointed, notwithstanding that he has the canonry and prebend of Morton Minor in Hereford, the chapel of Imere in the diocese of Salisbury, and the church of Eadburbury in that of Lincoln.
