LIST OF MAPS AND PLANS
With one exception, the maps and plans were drawn by K. J. Wass from drafts by K. J. Allison. The plan of the Northern Suburb was prepared and drawn by A. G. Chamberlain, and lettered by K. J. Wass. Apart from the plan of the weigh-house, all are based on Ordnance Survey maps with the sanction of the Controller of H. M. Stationery Office, Crown Copyright reserved. The plan of the weigh-house is based on a copy in the British Museum (Facsimiles 372 [II], no. 3) of a manuscript plan at Hatfield House; it is reproduced by permission of the Marquess of Salisbury. On the plan of the Medieval Town, the layout of tenements is taken from a reconstruction by L. M. Stanewell, based on a rental of 1347; Stanewell's map is among the records of Hull Corporation.
