CHARITIES FOR THE POOR.
Anne Lintott (d. 1744) by will gave £2 a year for cleaning and repairing her father's grave and the residue to be distributed among the poor, but the gift seems to have been ineffective. The rector Miles Williams by will dated 1786 gave £5 for the poor, but whatever his intentions the capital appears to have been distributed. (fn. 1)
