NONCONFORMITY.

In 1668 a conventicle was held at Over Stowey. (fn. 1) For a time during the early 19th century Cornish miners who came to work in neighbouring copper mines introduced Methodism, (fn. 2) and Particular Baptists opened a meeting house in the parish in 1817. (fn. 3)
