Prayers.

Earl of Ailesbury's Estate.

MR. Bickerstaffe reports from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Thomas Earl of Ailesbury, and Eliz. Countess of Ailesbury, his Wife, to make provision for Payment of Debts, and to make Leases of their Estates, was committed, That they had agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendments.

Resolved, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

Ordered, That Mr. Bickerstaffe do carry the said Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendments.

Privilege.

The House being informed, that Morris Rawson and Thomas Rawson had violently assaulted one Geo. Thomas, a Servant of Colonel Webb, a Member of this House, to the endangering his Life, and taken from him a Gun, in Breach of the Privileges of this House; and, at the same time, had spoken very indecent and irreverent Words of their Majesties;

Ordered, That the said Maurice Rawson and Thom. Rawson be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, to answer the same.

Supply Bill; Excise.

Then the House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for doubling the additional Duties of Excise, to begin from the Time that the Act for doubling the Duty of Excise doth expire.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Solicitor General took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Solicitor General reports from the said Committee, That they had agreed to the said Bill, and to the enacting Clause for the Building of Ships, and to the Clause for Victuallers and Retailers to be at Liberty to brew without being subject to the Penalty of One hundred Pound in the Act for the doubling the Excise, with several Amendments thereunto: And also had agreed to the Clause for supplying a Defect in the Clauses of Credit in the Bills for granting the new Impositions upon East India Goods, and other Merchandize, and upon Wine, Vinegar, and Tobacco; and that they had directed him to make a Report thereof to the House.

Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning at Ten a Clock; and nothing to intervene.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
