Remonstrance to the King.
THE ingrossed Remonstrance read; and, with Addition of the Word, " Command," allowed to be presented to his Majesty.
King to be attended.
Resolved, To send to his Majesty, to know his Pleasure, when we shall attend him, and with what Number. This Message to be carried by Mr. Secretary Coke, Mr. Chancellor of the Duchy, and Sir James Fullerton.
Call of the House.
Upon much Debate, whether the House shall be called now, or not; Resolved, upon Question, It shall be now called.
Book of Names of Members.
Ordered, The Clerk of the Crown shall, this Afternoon, make perfect the Book of the Names of the Members of this House, according to such Returns as are made unto him in Chancery.

Mr. Secretary Cooke reporteth that his Majesty hath appointed between One and Two of the Clock this Afternoon in the Gallery at Whytehall, to receive our Remonstrance: The Number to be 20, or 30.

Privilege - Selling Copy of Remonstrance.
SIR Tho. Hobby moveth, that a Scrivener hath sold a Copy of the Remonstrance, this Day presented to his Majesty, before the same was presented unto him.
Resolved, He shall be sent for presently.
The Scrivener is one Turnor, dwelling without Westmynster Hall Door.
The Serjeant sent for him : but Answer brought, he was not within.
Remonstrance to the King.
Mr. Chancellor Exchequer reporteth from his Majesty, that Mr. Secretary Cooke read the Remonstrance significantly, and -
That the King answered, he would not now give Answer to it;
Adjournment.
But expected, and desired, we would adjourn, as the Lords had done, until To-morrow sevennight; and that then we would repair the Time we had lost.
Upon the Question, whether the House to be adjourned until To-morrow sevennight; the Question being twice put, the House divided : The Yea went out:

The Bill for Continuance of Statutes, to be drawn, and presented to the House the first day; and that for the Sea War, propounded by Sir D. Digges, and the Bill for
Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage ; specially recommended to be handled the Three first Days.
Defaulters at Call of the House.
The Debate concerning the Punishment of those absent this Day, upon the Call of the House, to be respited till Monday after the Access ; and the House to be then called; and such as then shall be absent, to pay such Fine, as the House shall then impose.

Glemham also spared, for his Wife's Sickness. Mr. Whatman, now present, absent in the Morning, spared. Mr. Unton Crooke, and Mr. Solicitor, both sick, spared. Mr. Jordan spared. Sir H. Spiller, sick of an Ague, spared. Sir Edm. Frauncis, sick, spared. Sir Ro. Crane left to make his own Excuse, Sir Francis Leighe, for Sickness, spared.
Leave of Absence.
Mr. Lowther hath Licence to go down, and return again by To-morrow fortnight
Sir Rich. Sands spared, for Sickness.
Sir Rich. Vaughan licensed to go down, in respect of his Father's Sickness.
Adjournment.
Mr. Speaker, standing up, pronounced, that the House adjourneth itself until Thursday in Easter Week, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.
