Earl of Manchester's Estate.
A BILL from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Robert Earl of Manchester to sell Lands for Payment of his Debts; and for settling other Lands of a greater Value, in lieu of those appointed to be sold; was read.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.
Lord Maynard's Estate.
A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for rectifying a Mistake in a general Settlement of my Lord Maynard's Estate upon the Marriage of his Son, was read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Sir Joseph Tredenham, Lord Digby, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Eyres, Mr. Mountague, Sir Cha. Wheeler, Sir Edward Masters, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Marvell, Sir Edm. Rushout's Nat.
An ingrossed Bill for the Naturalization of Alice Rushout an Infant, Daughter of Sir James Rushout, was read the Third time.
Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for Naturalization of Alice Rushout an Infant, Daughter of Sir James Rushout Baronet: And that the same be carried up to the Lords for their Concurrence.
Ordered, That Sir Eliab Harvey do carry up the same Bill to the Lords.
Gage's Estate.

Ordered, That the report concerning the Duke of Norfolke be received on Wednesday next.
Supply Bill; building Ships.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, further to consider of Heads for a Bill for raising the Supply, not exceeding Six hundred thousand Pounds, to be given to his Majesty for the Building of Ships.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Richard Temple took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Sir Richard Temple reports from the Committee of the whole House, That they had agreed Four several Votes, as Heads for the said Bill: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where they were again read.
And the Three First Votes, being read a Second time, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to; and are as followeth:
Resolved, &c. That, of the Thirty Ships to be built, there shall be built One of the First Rate, not under One thousand Four hundred Tons; Nine of the Second Rate, each not under Eleven hundred Tons; Twenty of the Third Rate, each not under Nine hundred Tons.
Resolved, &c. That the Commencement of the Supply, not exceeding Six hundred thousand Pounds, for the Building of Thirty Ships, shall be at Lady Day next; and shall be payable Quarterly: The First Quarter to be paid at Midsummer next, to the Receivers General of the respective Counties.
Resolved, &c. That the Thirty Ships shall be built in Two Years; to be accounted from Midsummer next.
The last of the said Votes being read the Second time;
A Motion being made, That these Words, "and that the Customs granted by an Act of Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage be appropriated to the use of the Navy, by a Clause in the said Bill," be added to the said Vote;

The Question being put, That the House do agree with the Committee of the whole House in the last of the said Votes;
It was resolved in the Affirmative.
Resolved, &c. That the Supply for building Ships shall be made payable into the receipt of the Exchequer; and be kept separate, distinct, and apart from all other Money whatsoever, and appropriated and applied for the Building, Guns, Rigging, and Furnishing of the Thirty Ships; and to no other Use: And that Penalties be inflicted upon the Officers of the Exchequer, Navy, and Ordnance, and all other Persons respectively, through whose Hands any Part of the said Supply shall pass, in case the said Supply, or any Part thereof, shall be otherwise diverted or misapplied: And that the Accounts of the Receipts and Disbursements thereof shall be kept distinct from all other Accounts, by each Officer concerned therein; and also of each Ship respectively; and shall be transmitted to the Commons of England in Parliament.
Resolved, &c. That a Bill be brought in, pursuant to the several Votes of the said Committee, and agreed to by the House: And it is referred to Sir Richard Temple, Mr. Powle, Mr. Williams, Sir Tho. Lee, Mr. Sawyer, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir John Trevor, or any Three of them, to prepare and bring in the said Bill: And it is recommended to Mr. Solicitor General to take care of the said Bill.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees which were appointed to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned.
And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
