Leave for Members to attend Lords.

ORDERED, That Sir William Terringham, and Colonel Robert Phillipps, have the Leave of this House to attend, and give Evidence, before the Lords, in the Cause concerning Colonel Samuel Sandys.

Williams' Estate.

Ordered, That Mr. Grey, Sir Richard Oateley, Mr. Whorwood, Sir George Harcopp, Mr. Flint, Mr. Lowland Berkley, Sir John Goodrick, Mr. Daniell, Sir Robert Cordell, be added to the Committee touching the Lady Williams, and her Daughters.

Yarmouth Pier.

A Petition of the Bailiffs, Aldermen, Burgesses, and Commonalty of the Borough and Port Town of Great Yarmouth, in the County of Norfolk, was read; and the Matter debated.

Resolved, &c. That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for repairing the Harbour and Pier of Yarmouth, according to the Desire of the Petition.

Dover Pier.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to look into the Act concerning the Repair of Dover Pier; and to see what Powers are thereby given for taking the Accompts of Money raised for Repair of that Pier; and by whom it hath been received; and how the Persons concerned may be brought to an Accompt; and also to inquire, how the Money raised for setting out Busses for the Fishing Trade, and also for Relief of the Poor in the Time of the Plague, hath been employed, and whether any of it be in Arrear, and in whose Hands; and to report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House: And it is referred to Mr. Boscawen, Col. Birch, Sir John Knight, Mr. Jolly, Sir John Berkenhead, Sir Francis Clarke, Lord Richardson, Sir William Tompson, Col. Sandys, Mr. Love, Sir Richard Ford, Mr. Spry, Sir William Lowther, Mr. Coventry, and all the Members of this House, that serve for the Seaports, and for Kent: And they are to meet on Monday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the inner Court of Wards: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Cambridge Pest-Houses.

Upon a Petition delivered in, and Information given, on the Behalf of the several Persons concerned in the Bill for erecting Pest-Houses in Cambridge; who, as is alleged, are like to be much prejudiced, if that Bill pass: And the Bill being ingrossed;

Ordered, That the Bill be read on Monday next; and that all Persons concerned be then heard by the Counsel, at the Bar of this House.

Prize Ships.

Ordered, That the Committee, to which the Matter Prize Ships free for Trade was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon.

Conference desired with Lords.

Ordered, That a Conference be desired with the Lords To-morrow Morning, by Sir Robert Howard; and that the Paper of the Earl of Clarendon, and the Votes of this House relating thereto, be by him sent up, and delivered, at the Conference, to the Lords.

Resolutions respecting securing Persons impeached.

The Question being propounded, that, when any Subject shall be impeached of High Treason, generally, by the House of Commons, before the Lords in Parliament; and desired to be forthwith secured; such Person impeached ought, for the Safety of the King and Kingdom, to be accordingly secured;

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It was resolved in the Affirmative:

And the main Question being put; it was

Resolved, That, when any Subject shall be impeached of High Treason, generally, by the House of Commons before the Lords in Parliament; and desired to be forthwith secured; such Person impeached ought, for the Safety of the King and Kingdom, to be accordingly secured.

Resolved, &c. That when such impeached Person shall be secured, the Lords may limit a convenient Time to bring his particular Charge before them, for the avoiding Delay in Justice.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
