Prayers.

Sale of Manors, &c.

A PAPER of Particulars, necessary to be explained in the Act for Sale of the Manors of Rectories, and Glebe Lands, late belonging to the late Archbishops, Bishops, Deans, Deans and Chapters, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of these Particulars; and to bring in a Bill on Tuesday next, for Removing of Obstructions, in the Sale of the said Manors, &c. in those Particulars, or any others; and to facilitate the Sale, and speedy bringing in the Money thereupon: Viz. Sir Henry Vane junior, Major Salwey, Mr. Miles Corbet, Mr. Lechmere, Colonel Harvey, Mr. Holland, Mr. Nevill; or any Two of them: And Mr. Salwey is to take care thereof: And that the Act, already passed, be forborn to be published in the mean time, and till the House take further Order.

Raising Money.

Resolved, That One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds per mensem, for Four Months, be levied upon the whole Nation, instead of the Four hundred thousand Pounds, which was formerly voted: And that the Bill for that Four hundred Thousand Pounds be laid aside.

Resolved, That the One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds per mensem be levied upon the several Counties, according to the same Proportions of the Ninety Thousand Pounds per mensem.

Resolved, That this Assessment shall begin from the Twenty-fourth Day of December next: And that the same Committee, who were appointed to bring in the Bill for the Four hundred thousand Pounds, do bring in a Bill to this Purpose, on Tuesday next: And Mr. Hill is to take care hereof.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee of the Army, to consider how the Pay of the Army may be carried on to the Twenty-fourth Day of December next, when this Bill is to commence; and report it to the House on Tuesday next.

Crown Lands.

Mr. Miles Corbet reports from the Committee for removing Obstructions in Sale of the Lands of the late King, Queen, and Prince, The Opinion of that Committee, That the Judges of the several Courts of Justice be authorized and required to take some effectual Course, that in all Causes now depending before them, wherein it shall appear that any of the Army now in Scotland are concerned, that, during this next Term, no Proceedings be had to their Prejudice.

Resolved, That it be recommended to the Lords Commissioners for the Great Seal of England, to call to them the Judges of the several Courts; and take Order with them, That they take special Care, that, in all Cases depending, or which shall depend, before them, wherein any of the Army now in Scotland are concerned, no Proceedings be had to their Prejudice, during the next Term.

Highways.

An Act for Repair of some Highways about London, &c. was this Day read the First time; and ordered to be read the Second time on Wednesday next.

Militia.

Resolved, That the Council of State do take into Consideration the Business of regulating the Militia, for the greatest Ease of the Nation, with respect to the Safety of the Commonwealth; and report it to the House on This-day-sevennight.

Ordered, That the Members of this House be desired to be at the Muster on Tuesday next: And that Mr. Speaker do attend there at the same time.

Publick Faith.

Resolved, That the Report touching the Publick Faith be made on Wednesday next: And that Mr. Ellis do make it.

Meal, &c.

Ordered, That Mr. Garland report Amendments to the Act touching Meal, on Wednesday next; and likewise the Act for Ale and Beer.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself until Tuesday Morning next, at Eight of the Clock.
