Validity of Burgesses.

Report is made of the Validity of Burgesses; and Ordered, by Mr. Attorney's Assent, that the Burgesses shall remain according to the Returns; for that the Validity of the Charters of their Towns is elsewhere to be examined, if Cause be.

Attending Church.

The Bill concerning coming to the Church, and Receiving of the Communion, was brought in again by Sir Thom. Smythe.

Subsidy, &c.

The Names of the Committees for the Subsidy, and for Motions and Petitions, were read again : and they appointed to keep their former Hours of Meeting.

Cumberland Writ.

For that Sir Henry Percy Knight, being returned Knight for the Shire of Cumberland, and likewise of Northumberland, hath chosen to appear for Northumberland ; it is Ordered, that a new Writ shall go out, to choose another Knight for Cumberland.

Treason.

1. The Bill, touching certain Offences, to be made Treason. - The First Reading.

Mr. Norton exhibiteth an Addition, which is received by the House; and after sundry Arguments, and some Motions touching the Severances or Unitings of the Bills, It is Ordered, that the Bill be read again upon Thursday next.

Attending Church.

1. nova. The Bill, concerning the coming to the Church, and receiving of the Communion. - The first Reading after the committing: Whereupon followed sundry Motions, and many long Arguments.

Privilege.

Sir John Sentleger moved the House for his Man's Privilege: And it is committed to Mr. Recorder, Mr. Bedell, and Mr. Dalton; to meet, this Afternoon, at Mr. Recorder's ; and make Report To-morrow.
