The humble petition of John Baylyes and
Isabell Baylyes twoe poore children
Humblie sheweth that Elizabeth Baylyes [illegible] widow
their mother havinge goodes to the value of x pounds
or theraboutes was about xvi monethes sithence
married to John Hornyblow of Crowle with whom
she lyved about one yeare and did carefully
provide by her labor for his lyvynge and her owne
now the said Elizabeth beinge dead the said
Hornyblow refuseth to gyve any allowance to the
twoe poore children but leaveth them to the be
releeved by the parishes where they were borne
whereas they might both be well placed and
releeved yf the said Hornyblow wold allow unto
them goodes to the value of iiii pounds forth of their
mothers goodes which they humbly pray may be
considered and pray relief for Godes love
To be brought before one justice to answere and shew
cause etc.

To the right worshipfull his majesties justices of
peace for the county of Wigorn, now present.
The humble peticion of the parishoners of Hartlebury
Humbly sheweth that whereas one Robert Yarnold of
Oddingley husbondman, for the unlawfull begettinge of a
man child of the bodye of Joane Preston of Hartleburye
spinster, was for the same offence brought before the
reverend father in God Gervase Lord Bushopp of
Wigorn, and thereuppon was bounde over for his
apparaunce at this quarter sessions, your
peticioners most humbly beseech your worshipps that the
sayd Yarnold may be bound to free the parishe from
the keepinge of the said child, and that the said
Joane Preston may have satisfaccion for her great
charge shee hath susteyned theis vi weekes, the rather
for that it shall appeare by certificatt under divers
honest weomens handes, that the sayd Yarnold is the
supposed father of the said child or to take such
other order therein, as in your worshipps discretions
shalbe thought most fytt.
And as dutye bindeth wee shall dailye pray
to allmightye God for your worships prosperityes.
