332.	JOHN SON OF JOHN BERNARD.
	Writ of precipimus, 8 January, 43 Edward III.
OXFORD.	Inq. made at Bannebury, 18 January, 43 Edward III.
	Milton. A messuage, 79a. land, 4r. meadow and 23s. 6d. rent, held of Elizabeth daughter and heir of William de Louches by service of 1 lb. cummin and ploughing 2a. land for the Winter and Lent sowings. He held it in fee tail, to him and the heirs of his body, by a fine levied in the king's court, with remainder to Edmund, his brother, and the heirs of his body. He died on 24 August, 42 Edward III, without heir of his body, whereby the said Edmund, aged 30 years and more, is his next heir to the premises by the form of the above gift. Since his death Philippa his wife has had possession of the premises by the king's letters patent, because he was outlawed in London on Monday before St. Edmund the King, 38 Edward III, at the suit of Robert de Thame, citizen of London, in a plea of covenant.
