Entry	A certain woman reported that about Christmas 1618-19, Mrs Rhobes, a Scotsman's wife, had had pains around the navel. She was advised by SAVERY and by Dr MACCOLOS, then by Mr FENTON, and lastly by Mr GILLIAM, who chose Mr Alexander READE as physician (in whose house he was staying). G & R gave her fumes and pills to flux. She was now in extremis. G had 40s, with £8 to come & £10 on cure. Diagnosis varied between pregnancy, the stone and cancer of the womb.
