Identified in Vestry Minute Book of St. Bartholomew the litell with "Leggesaleye" (q.v.).
Site now occupied by the Bank of England. Named after the sign.

South out of London Wall at Little Winchester Street, opposite the Church of All Hallows in ye Wall (O. and M. 1677-Strype, 1755).

Described as a passage to Winchester Street (Hatton, 1708).

Named after the sign, which is said to have been adopted to illustrate the constant changes in fashions which took place in England, rendering it difficult to decide what style of dress to adopt.
