495 OVERTON V LARRET

Edward Overton of Glaston, co. Rutland, gent v Daniel Larret of the same, yeoman

December 1637 - February 1638

Abstract

Overton complained that Larret had given him the lie three times and struck at him with his fist. Overton took out bond to prosecute the case on 4 December 1637 and Larret was required to appear in response to a summons on 3 February 1638; but no further proceedings survive.

'He gave him the lye 3 severall tymes and at another tyme gave him the lye and strook at him with his fist.'

Dr Exton was counsel and Larret was required to appear before the earls of Arundel and Bath, and Lord Maltravers in response to a summons on 3 February 1638.
