Abstract

Needham complained that Barker had given him scandalous words provocative of a duel. Dr Eden was due to present Needham's petition in January 1637; but no further proceedings survive.

Summary of proceedings

On 28 January 1637 Dr Eden was to give Needham's petition concerning scandalous words provocative of a duel in court before the Earl of Arundel, Lord Maltravers and Sir Henry Marten.
