Abstract

The nature of this case remains unknown as only Jeffery's bond of 14 February 1638 to prosecute Gough survives.

Bound to duly prosecute his suit in the court in the painted chamber, Palace of Westminster.

Sealed, subscribed and delivered in the presence of John Watson.

Notes

Thomas Jefferies of Earl's Croome was the son of Leonard Jefferies of Earls Croome (d. 1629), and Susanna, daughter of Thomas Copley of Bredon's Norton. Thomas Jefferies married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Richard Hopton of Canon Frome, co. Hereford, and secondly Katherine, daughter of William Penn of Penn, co. Buckingham. Thomas Jefferies died on 11 January 1650.
