Airay to be instituted to Milford, &c.

Ordered, That Dr. Aylett shall give Institution and Induction to Mr. Christopher Airay Batchelor of Divinity, to the Vicarage of Milford, with the Chapels of Horwell and Melton; presented thereunto by the Provost and Scholars of Queene's Colledge in Oxon: And this with a salvo Jure cujuscunque.

Ordinance for Sale of Bishops Lands.

The Lord Viscount Say & Seale reported from the Committee, the Ordinance for selling the Lands of Bishops; and offered some Things to the Consideration of this House, which the Committee had cursorily observed.

Message from the H. C. for Committees to meet about disposing of the Great Seal.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Samuell Browne, &c. That they have taken Notice of the great Inconveniency which daily happens for Want of not settling the Great Seal of England; they take also Notice that their Lordships Committee did meet the last Time appointed, but their Members did fail: Therefore they desire their Lordships would please to appoint another Day of Meeting, and the House of Commons will command their Members to attend.

Ordered, That this House appoints Monday next, in the Afternoon, for this Committee to meet; and afterwards at such other Times as they think fit to appoint.

Answer.

The Answer returned to the Messengers that brought this Message was:

That their Lordships will take this Message into Consideration, and send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Message to the H. C. about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Aylett and Dr. Heath:

To let them know, that their Lordships have appointed Monday next, in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, for the Committee for to consider of the disposing of the Great Seal of England after the Expiration of the Time limited to the Speakers of both Houses; and the said Committee to have Power to adjourn themselves from Time to Time, as they shall see Cause.

Ordinance for Sale of Bishops Lands.

Next, the House was adjourned into a Committee of the whole House during Pleasure, to take into Consideration the Ordinance for Sale of the Lands of the Archbishops and Bishops.

The House was resumed.

And Ordered, To be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning.

Sedgwick thanked for his Sermon.

Ordered, That Mr. Obadiah Sedgwick shall have Thanks given him, from this House, for his Sermon before the Lords on the 5th of November last, and desire him to print and publish his said Sermon.

Wallis to be instituted to Ellisborough.

Ordered, That Dr. Heath shall give Institution and Induction to Robert Wallis, to the Parsonage of Ellisborough, in the County of Bucks; he being presented thereunto by Anthony Dayrell.

E. of Bedford's Petition against Apsly, for stopping the Shore at Covent Garden.

Upon reading the Petition of Wm. Earl of Bedford; complaining, "That one Mr. Appsly hath stopped up the Common Shore out of The Covent Garden, since he hath been a Member of the House of Commons, whereby no Course in Law can be taken against him, in regard of his Privilege."

Sent to the H. C.

It is Ordered, That the said Petition be communicated to the House of Commons, with Recommendations; which accordingly was sent down, by Dr. Aylett and Dr. Heath.
