Committee for St. Paul's, Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of the Mayor and Aldermen of London, who are Committees for Paule's Church and Revenue: It is Ordered, That the Consideration thereof be committed to the Committee formerly appointed; and all the Orders to be produced that have been made in this Cause.

East India Company and Alderman Fowkes.

Ordered, That the East India Company shall have further Time till this Day Sevennight, to put in their Answer to Mr. Alderman Foulkes' Petition.

Hawes's Cause.

Upon reading the Petition of Hawes, against the Widow Hawes and others: It is Ordered, That the Defendants shall have a Copy of this Petition, and return their Answer within Ten Days to this House.

Ordinance for Austen to be Minister of Minehead.

An Ordinance was presented to this House, for making Mr. Sam. Austin Minister of the Vicarage of Mynheade, in the County of Cornwall; and read, and Agreed to; and is to be sent to the House of Commons, for their Concurrence.

Mrs. Bingham's Petition, for Money to bury her Husband.

Upon reading the Petition of Mrs. Bingham Widow; shewing, "That her Husband, having been in the Service of the Parliament, and hath many Arrears due to him, is lately dead, and the Petitioner hath no Money to bury him; therefore desires some Part of the Arrears to be paid her for his Burial:" It is Ordered, To be recommended to the House of Commons.

Ordinance about Ship building and giving Privileges to Shipwrights, &c

The Earl of Worwicke reported from the Committee for the Admiralty, a Report and an Ordinance concerning the better building of Ships, and granting Privileges to Shipwrights and Caulkers to be freed from Land Service, which being read, it was Agreed to, and Ordered to be sent to the House of Commons, for their Concurrence, and to be printed, if they agree to it

Ordinance about Foreign Plantations.

The Earl of Worwicke presented another Report and Ordinance from the Committee of Admiralty, concerning Foreign Plantations, which being read, it was Agreed to

Eeles s Press to remain in the Gentleman Usher s Custody

Ordered, That the Printing Press and the Letter, which was in Possession of Eeles, and now in the Custody of the Gentleman Usher of this House, shall remain there until the further Pleasure of this House be known, and the Committee for the scandalous Pamphlets to meet on Tuesday Morning next

Platt and Selby

Ordered, That the Cause between Mr Platt and Mr Selby shall be heard, by Counsel, at this Bar, this Day Sevennight

Money to the Under Officers of this House

Ordered, That the Lords of this House that are of the Committee for the Revenue do give this House an Account of the Order formerly sent to them, concerning some Money to be given to the Under Officers of this House

Preacher at the Fast

Ordered, That Mr Tukney is appointed to preach, the next Fast, before the Lords, in the Abbey, in the Place of Mr Cawdrey, he being first nominated by the House of Commons to preach before them

Torksay to be instituted to Scotter

Ordered, That Doctor Aylett shall give Institution and Induction to Mr Sam Torksay, to the Church of Scotter, in the County of Lyncolne, presented thereunto by Ordinance of both Houses, and this with a salvo Juris cujuscunque

Message to the H C with Ordinances, and Bingham s Petition.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath

1 To desire their Concurrence in the Ordinance for the Shipwrights

2 To desire Concurrence in the Ordinance concerning Foreign Plantations

3 To recommend the Petition of Mrs Bingbam to them, concerning the Burial of her Husband

4 To desire their Concurrence in the Ordinance for making Mr Austin Minister of Mynbead, in the County of Cornwaill

Standing Order to regulate Institutions, &c

Lords Committees appointed by the House, to bring in a Standing Order, to regulate all Orders in the future, for giving Institution and Induction, the Parties being first presented unto any Spiritual Livings, either by the respective Patrons or otherwise, and to report (videlicet,)

Browne to be instituted to Chewton Mendip,

Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament, That Mr Doctor Heath, or his lawful Deputy, are hereby authorized and required, upon Sight of this Order, to give Institution and Induction to Mr John Browne, to the Vicarage of Chewton Mendipp, in the County of Som'sett, with a Salvo Jure cujuscuaque, the said Mr Browne producing his Presentation thereunto under the Hand and Seal of Sir Richard Kingsmill the Patron And this to be a sufficient Authority in that Behalf

and Whetcomb to Chailton Mackiell

Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament, That Mr Doctor Aylett, or his lawful Deputy, are hereby authorized and required, upon Sight of this Order, to give Institution and Induction to Mr Symon Whetcombe Clerk, to the Parsonage of Charlton Mackrell, in the County of Somersett, Salvo Juris cujuscunque, the said Mr Whetcombe producing his Presentation under the Hands and Seals of William Lockett Clerk, and Robert Whetcombe and John Whetcombe Gentlemen, the Patrons thereof And this to be a sussicient Authority in that Behalf
