DIE Mercurii, videlicet, 21 mensis Maii:
Commission concerning the Union.
A MESSAGE from the Lower House, delivered by Sir Frauncis Hastings, and others, signifying, That the Committees of that House, for the great Matter of the Project or Frame of a Bill, concerning the Commission, were now resolved to give Meeting unto the Lords Committees (if they so please) for further Conference about that Matter, upon Saturday next, 19th of this Instant, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Outward Chamber, near the Parliament House; whereunto the Lords returned Signification of their Assent, by the said Sir Frauncis Hastings and the rest.
Upon their Departure, the Draught, or Project, for the said Matter of the Commission, was read in the House, but not as a Bill, to the Intent that their Lordships might the better consider of the Substance of the said Project against that Meeting. The Project generally allowed of; and Agreed by the House, That Authority shall be given in general to the Committees to debate and treat of any Particulars, that (upon Conference of the Lower House) shall occur and be incident, touching the Proceeding to the Framing of a Bill (upon the Draught, or Project, propounded to the House) for the Act of Commission betwixt England and Scotland.
Ecclesiastical Affairs.
The Conference about Matters Ecclesiastical, which was appointed to have been To-morrow, the 17th of this Instant, in the Afternoon, at the Outward Chamber, was now appointed to be at the Council Chamber in Court, at the same Time, according to His Majesty's express Order and Commandment in that Behalf, signified by the Lord Chamberlain.
Barony of Abergavenny.
The Cause concerning the Barony of Bergevenie, was again heard pleaded in the House, according to the former Appointment; and, for that the Time served not to make an End thereof now, the Lords agreed upon another Hearing of the same upon Wednesday next, the 23d of this Instant, in the Afternoon.
