Speaker of the House of Commons presented.
THIS Day, Sir Edward Phillipps, Knight, one of
His Majesty's Serjeants at Law, being chosen Prolocutor, or Speaker, of the Lower House, was, by divers
of the Knights and Burgesses, brought up into the
Higher House, and presented to His Majesty and the
House, by the Hands of Sir John Stanhope, Knight,
Vice-Chamberlain to His Majesty, and Sir John Herbert,
Knight, Second Secretary of State to His Highness.
The King's Majesty made Repetition of His former
Speech, delivered the first Day of the Parliament; for
that He supposed many of the Commons of the Lower
House were absent when He then delivered the same.
Adjourn.
Dominus Cancellarius, ex Mandato Domini Regis,
continuavit præsens Parliamentum usque in diem Lunæ,
videlicet, 26m Martii, hora 8a.
