[1253–5] Grant of John prior and convent to Gilbert de Stebheth, clerk, of land; abutments, the land of Roger son of Roger and the tenement of Gilbert himself extending towards the wall of the city of London; Gilbert to have the right to lease it to whomsoever he pleases except to Jews and religious houses; rent 3d. p.a.; gersuma ½ mark of silver; chirograph; witnesses, Nicholas Bat, mayor, John de Norhamtone, Richard Picard, sheriffs.

732. [1308] Grant of Henry de Bydik to Richard le Whitawier of the parish of All Hallows by the Wall of the grantor's messuage and curtilage adjacent; abutments, the tenement of Richard de Lincoln, skinner, and Roger le Purser on the west and the tenement of Richard le Whitawier himself and John son of the late Peter on the east, the northern end of which extends to the king's street and the southern end as far as the land of the aforesaid John son of Peter; to hold the messuage with the garden adjacent; rent 16s. p.a. to the grantor and his heirs and 2s. 6d. p.a. to Holy Trinity; the grantee obligates himself and his heirs to allow Henry and his heirs to enter a tenement which Richard has next this one with the tenement of Simon Franks on the east and the end of which extends towards London Wall on the north and the garden of John son of Peter and to take naam; sealed counterparts; [f. 130v] witnesses, John le Blount, kt., mayor, William de Basyng, James le Botiler, sheriffs; dated London Wed. 2 Oct. 1308.
