[p. 220 transcript] Md that the xxix day of Aprill in the xxiiij yer' of kynge Henry the Sixte in tyme of John Scadley & Thomas Froddesham than standyng Wardeyns of the crafte of Scryveners I John Valentyn' Screvenyr for dyv's offences as wele in langage as in other thynges be me gevyn to the sayd Wardeynes be, menes th'of on my party made I have submytted and submytte my selfe in lowly Wyse Un to the sayd Wardeynes on' my knees knowlegyng myn' obstynacy and th'of have asked forgevenes and [have] (fn. 1) is forgevyn' And further-more of myn' owne Fre p'fer & godewyll I have payd & geven to thencrece of the boxse for my sayd Offences vs' viijd' Furthermore where'as be an obligncon' of myn' owne hande wryten I stonde bounde to the sayd Wardeyns in xx li' st'ling upon dyv's condiciones as be the sayd obligncion' it may apper' I of myn' owne knowlege afferme the sayd obligation' to be gode under the condicone th'on exp'ssed and tht be me to have be Wryten made seled & delyv'ed as for myn' dede & Wyll wtout cohercion' in any Wyse.
