Tuesday, November 3. Present:—Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin.
New Hampshire.
The Right Honourable Henry Fox, Esquire, his Majesty's Secretary at War, attending, the accounts of the province of New Hampshire, ordered to be examined by the minute of Wednesday last, was laid before the Board, as also a paper containing such errors and differences as appeared in the said accounts, upon examining the same with the vouchers; and after some time spent therein, directions were given for preparing the draught of a representation to his Majesty thereupon.
Wednesday, November 4. Present:—Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin.
Barbados.
Read a letter from Mr. Grenville, Governor of Barbados, to the
Board, dated 17th of July, 1747, transmitting the following
public papers, viz.:—
Lists of the several magazines, forts and batteries in the
Island of Barbados, collected and certified the 14th of
April, 1747, by Richard Husbands, Esquire, Deputy
Secretary.
Account of powder collected and paid into the Magazine of
Barbados, by virtue of the Tonnage Act, from October,
1740, to June, 1747.
Account of the number of negroes imported into Barbados,
from the 14th of October, 1746, to the 14th of April,
1747.
Minutes of the General Assembly, from the 23rd of April,
1747, to the 28th of May, 1747.
Minutes of Council, from the 14th of April, 1747, to the 28th
of July, 1747.
An Act, passed in Barbados, the 26th of May, 1747.
Ordered that the said Act be sent to Mr. Lamb, for his opinion thereon, in point of law.
Trade.
Malta.
The Board took again into consideration the draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Newcastle, relating to the appointment of a consul at Malta, mentioned in the minutes of the 27th of last month, and having agreed thereto, ordered the same to be transcribed.
Wednesday, November 11. Present:—Mr. Plumer, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.
Barbados.
The Secretary laid before the Board three letters from Sir Thomas Robinson, Governor of Barbados.
One, dated February 20th, 1746–7, in answer to the Board's general queries relating to the present state of that Island.
Another, dated March 30th, 1747, relating to the conduct and behaviour of Mr. Blenman, the king's Attorney General, towards him as Governor, and vindicating his character from the aspersions of the said Mr. Blenman.
The third, dated April 13th, 1747, giving the Board a particular
account of his administration from the 4th of December last, to
the arrival of his successor, Henry Grenville, Esquire, transmitting,
likewise, the following publick papers, viz.:—
Minutes of Council, from the 3rd of September, 1746, to the
14th of April, 1747.
Minutes of the General Assembly, from 27th of May, 1746,
to the 14th of April, 1747.
Trade.
Malta.
The draught of a letter to his Grace the Duke of Newcastle, relating to the appointment of a consul at Malta, having been transcribed, as ordered by the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.
New Hampshire.
The Board took into consideration the draught of a representation to his Majesty on the subject of the petition of the Council of the province of New Hampshire, mentioned in the minutes of the 3rd instant, and after some time spent therein, agreed thereto, and ordered the Clerk of the Reports to attend his Majesty's Secretary at War with the said draught.
Wednesday, November 18. Present:—Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin.
South Carolina.
The Secretary laid before the Board a paper presented by Mr. Fury, agent for the province of South Carolina, entituled, "Reasons humbly offered for obtaining his Majesty's Royal Approbation of an Act, entituled, An Act to remedy some Defects in his Majesty's Rent Roll in South Carolina."
Ordered that the said paper do lye by for further consideration.
New Hampshire.
The draught of a representation to his Majesty, upon the New Hampshire petition, mentioned in the preceding minute, being returned from Mr. Fox, was agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.
Friday, November 20. Present:—Lord Monson, Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty upon the New Hampshire petition, ordered to be transcribed by the preceding minutes, was laid before the Board and signed.
Tuesday, November 24. Present:—Lord Monson, Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.
Barbados.
Read Mr. Lamb's report upon an Act, passed at Barbados, in May, 1747, to secure the Peace and Tranquillity of that Island, and to support the honour and dignity of the government thereof.
Ordered that the draught of a representation to his Majesty, proposing the confirmation of the said Act, be prepared.
Antigua.
Read Mr. Lamb's report upon a private Act, passed in Antigua, in 1746, for the sale of part of the real estate of William Lindsey, Esquire, deceased, for and towards payment of his debts.

Ordered that the said Acts lye by, till application thereon shall be made.
South Carolina.
The Board took into consideration the memorial of Mr. Fury, agent for the province of South Carolina, mentioned in the minutes of the 18th instant, praying the confirmation of an Act of that province, therein mentioned, and the Secretary was directed to transmit the said account to Mr. Scrope, Secretary to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury, for their Lordships' opinion thereupon.
Wednesday, November 25. Present:—Mr. Plumer, Mr. Leveson Gower, Lord Dupplin, Mr. Fane.
Pennsylvania.
Read two letters from Mr. Richard Peters, Secretary of Pennsylvania, to the Secretary of this Board, one dated at Philadelphia, May 29th, 1746, the other May 30th, 1747, both inclosing lists of the names of such foreigners in that province, as have taken the benefit of the Act for naturalizing foreign protestants. One from the 1st of June, 1746, the other from thence to 30th of May, 1747.

The ten following copies of Orders of Council were laid before
the Board, and the titles thereof read, viz.:—
Barbados.
Antigua.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
appointing Edward Legge, Esquire, a member of his
Majesty's Councils in extraordinary in the Islands of
Barbados and Antigua, during the time of his commanding
his Majesty's ships in those parts.
Massachusets.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
approving a representation of this Board, proposing the
confirmation of an Act, passed in the province of the
Massachusets Bay in June, 1744, for the more effectual
guarding and securing their sea coasts, and for the encouragement of seamen to enlist themselves during the present
war with France.
South Carolina.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
approving a representation of this Board, proposing Hector
Berenger de Beaufin, Esquire, to supply a vacancy in the
Council of South Carolina, by the resignation of John
Fenwicke, Esquire.
Bermuda.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
dismissing the petition of Alexander Smith, William
Selby and Vincent Mathias, relating to their proposal for
planting vines in the Bermuda Islands, for the growing and
making wines, and praying for a grant of his Majesty's
lands there, hitherto ungranted, as shall be proper for that
purpose.
Bermuda.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 7th of August, 1747,
that the Master General of the Ordnance should cause the
supply of Ordnance and Stores, contained in the annexed
estimate, amounting to £1506 9s. 10d. to be forthwith sent
to the Bermuda Islands.
North Carolina.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 7th of August, 1747,
approving a representation of this Board, proposing the
repeal of an Act, passed by the late Lords Proprietors of
North Carolina, concerning attornies from foreign parts,
and for giving priority to country debts.
Jamaica.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
directing that a supply of one hundred cannon of twenty
four pounders and fourteen cannon of thirty two pounders,
with a suitable proportion of carriages and stores, be sent
to Jamaica, for the better security and defence of that
Island.
Jamaica.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 3rd of June, 1747,
approving a representation of this Board, proposing the
confirmation of an Act, passed in the Island of Jamaica,
in May, 1746, to enable Francis Sadler, Esquire, to take the
Sirname of Hals, pursuant to the Will of Thomas Hals,
Esquire, deceased.
Jamaica.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 8th of September,
1747, approving a representation of this Board, proposing
Isaac Gale, Esquire, to supply a vacancy in the Council
of Jamaica, by the resignation of Samuel Dicker, Esquire.
Jamaica.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 4th of November,
1747, approving a representation of this Board, proposing
the confirmation of a private Act, passed at Jamaica in
May, 1746, relating to Anne Johnson, a free Mulatto
woman and her son Thomas Wightwick, in their favour.
Barbados.
The draught of a representation to his Majesty for the confirmation of an Act of Barbados, mentioned in yesterday's minutes, being laid before the Board, was agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Read a letter from Mr. Hunter, Surveyor General of his
Majesty's lands in South Carolina, as also Inspector and Comptroller of his Majesty's Quit Rents to the Board, dated Charles
