Draughts of the following representations and letters having been prepared pursuant to the preceding minute, were agreed to, transcribed and signed.
Jamaica.
Representation to his Majesty upon the differences and disputes which have arisen and do subsist between Mr. Knowles, the Assembly and Courts of Justice in Jamaica.
Letter to Mr. Knowles, in answer to the several letters received from him since the date of the Board's last letter to him.
Representation humbly laying before his Majesty the petition of the parish of St. James relative to the removal of the seat of government.
Representation humbly laying before his Majesty the petition
of the parish of Hanover relative to the removal of the seat of
government.
Representation humbly laying before his Majesty an extract of Mr. Knowles's letter of the 25th June, containing his reasons for suspending Mr. Beach, his Majesty's Attorney General.
Representation to his Majesty, with a copy of Mr. Knowles's letter of the 29th August, and of the several papers therein referred to relative to the suspension of Mr. Hyde from his seat in the Council.
Representation to his Majesty with a copy of Mr. Knowles's letter of the 20th of June, humbly proposing that the fine therein mentioned to have been imposed on Mr. Fornichon may be remitted.
Leeward Islands.
Letter to George Thomas, Esquire, Governor of the Leeward Islands, in answer to his letter of the 21st of January last.
Wednesday, October 16.
Memorandum.
Nova Scotia.
Mr. Kilby, agent for Nova Scotia, having communicated to the Secretary a memorial prepared by him to be presented to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury, praying that £5,959 13s. may be issued to him for payment of money due to the contractor for supplying the troops in Nova Scotia with provisions and to discharge what bills have been drawn upon him by the Lieutenant Governor, the Secretary thought it his duty, in the absence of the Commissioners, to write to the Secretary to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury to acquaint him that he had examined the memorial and found the allegations of it to be true.

Miscellanies.
The Secretary laid before the Board an account of the incidental charges of this office amounting to three hundred, eighty six pounds, thirteen shillings and four pence, and a letter to the Lords of the Treasury desiring payment thereof, and of the salaries due to the Secretaries and under officers in the service of this Board from the 5th of July to the 10th instant, was laid before the Board and signed.
Maryland.
Ordered that the Secretary do write to the Secretary to the Commissioners of his Majesty's Customs, to remind him of his former letter desiring an account of the shipping of Great Britain, and the opinion of the Commissioners upon a memorial relative to the establishment of a Custom House officer at Patapsco in Maryland.
Wednesday, October 23. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Grenville, Mr. Oswald, Mr. Pelham.
Nova Scotia.
Mr. Kilby, agent for Nova Scotia, attending was called in and presented to the Board a memorial prepared by him to be delivered to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury praying that £7,813 14s. 5d. may be issued to him for the service of this colony; and the said memorial having been read, their lordships approved of it, and directed Mr. Kilby to present it to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty's Treasury for their Lordships' directions upon it.
Mr. Kilby having laid before the Board a letter to him from the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, acquainting him that he had shipped on board the Halifax, consigned to him, . . . . . barrells of damaged powder, and having acquainted their lordships that the vessel was arrived, he was directed to deliver the powder to the Office of Ordnance for his Majesty's use.

Ordered that an extract be made of that part of Mr. Lawrence's letter which contains an account of the strength and proceedings of the French at Beausejour, Bay Verte and St. John's River to be laid before his Majesty, and that a letter to inclose it to Sir Thomas Robinson be prepared.
Massachusets.
Read a letter from Mr. Shirley, Governor of the Massachusets
Bay, to the Board, dated at Falmouth in Casco Bay, August 19th,
1754, relative to his proceedings with the Indians and to the fort

Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 6th of August, 1754,
approving a warrant prepared by this Board, to authorize
the Governor of Georgia to cause Letters Patent to be
passed under the Seal of the said province for appointing
William Clifton, Esquire, Attorney General.
Jamaica.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 21st of June, 1754,
directing the Governor of Jamaica to remit the fine of £20
imposed on Terence Williamson Kennedy by the judges of

New Hampshire.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated 21st June, 1754, approving
a representation of this Board proposing the repeal of an
Act, passed in the province of New Hampshire in 1742, to
ascertain the fee of a messuage and tract of land in Portsmouth, etc.
Georgia.
Copy of an Order of Council, dated the 6th of August, 1754,
approving the draught of a warrant prepared by this
Board, to authorize the Governor of his Majesty's province
of Georgia to use a new Seal (which has been approved of by
his Majesty) in sealing all patents, grants of lands, etc.,
within the said province.
Plantations General.
The draught of a representation to his Majesty upon the proceedings of the Commissioners appointed by the several colonies to hold an interview with the Six Nations at Albany in June, 1754, was laid before the Board and signed.
Wednesday, October 30. Present:— Earl of Halifax, Mr. Grenville, Mr. Oswald, Mr. Pelham.
Nova Scotia.
The draught of a letter to Sir Thomas Robinson inclosing an extract of Mr. Lawrence's letter of the 1st of August last, having been prepared pursuant to the minutes of yesterday, was agreed to and ordered to be transcribed.
Their lordships took into consideration the draught of an estimate of what sums of money will be necessary for the service of Nova Scotia for the insuing year and made some progress therein.
Barbados.
Ordered that the draught of a representation be prepared proposing Henry Thornhill, Esquire, to be of the Council of Barbados in the room of Abel Dottin, Esquire, who has been absent from thence twelve years.

Nova Scotia.
Their lordships proceeded in the consideration of the estimate for the service of Nova Scotia for the year 1755 and went through it.
The draught of a letter to Sir Thomas Robinson inclosing an extract of Mr. Lawrence's letter of the 1st of August last, having been transcribed pursuant to yesterday's minutes, was signed.

The draught of a representation to his Majesty proposing Henry Thornhill, Esquire, to be of the Council of Barbados in the room of Abel Dottin, Esquire, having been prepared pursuant to yesterday's minutes, was agreed to, transcribed and signed.
