Which Roger alienated all his lands &c. to divers men, retaining nothing but the said manor of Hurberton, which is the head of the barony aforesaid, and died seised thereof; whereupon the escheator took that manor into the king’s hand, and so it remains to this day. The said Hawis lately died seised of two parts of the said manor of Brixham in dower, whereupon they were taken into the king’s hand, and still remain there because Henry de la Pomereye and Peter Corbet, the next heirs of the said Roger have not yet sued their right therein against the king.
