William Hawe, aged 60 years, and John Lynge, aged 50 years, know this because John Pyel was mayor at that time and Nicholas Brembre, the said Brian’s godfather, and John Phelipot were sheriffs. Walter Bekeswell, aged 50 years, John Bokelsmyth, aged 57 years, and Thomas Stranston, aged 47 years, know this because Christina wife of William Tudenham, the said Brian’s godmother, died that year. Richard Ouchawe, aged 48 years, knows this because he was made a freeman of the city that year. Henry Asshebourne, aged 60 years, Bartholomew Dekene, aged 50 years, and Adam Holte, aged 52 years, know this because on that day Roger Bonde fell and broke his right arm. William Foungry, aged 49 years, Roger Loundres, aged 55 years, and Thomas Hawe, aged 46 years, known this because on that day John Love, cook, was put in the pillory for selling a stinking eel-pie and other unwholesome victuals. |
