De Costa's Nat.

SIR Henry Peikham reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for Naturalization of Alvaro de Costa and others, was committed, that the Committee had examined the Matter; and returned the Bill.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Hackney Coachmen.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to inspect the Act touching Hackney Coachmen; and to inquire into the Number of Hackney Coachmen; and whether there be any abuse in the Licensing them, or in their Behaviour; and what Moneys have been raised upon that Act; and how the same hath been employed; and to prepare and bring in a Bill for preventing any Abuses, and better regulating and ordering Hackney Coachmen, if they find it necessary; viz. Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir John Knight, Sir John Berkenhead, Mr. Sandys, Sir Charles Harbord, Mr. Morrice, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir William Lowther, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Scawen, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Steward, Sir James Thynn, Sir Robert Brockes, Mr. Chetwyn, Sir William Coventry, Sir Edmund Windham, Sir Edward Oateley, Sir Robert King, and all the Members that serve for London, Westminster, and Middlesex; or any Five of them: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Weld's Debt.

Ordered, That the Bill concerning Sir John Weld, be read To-morrow Morning.

Irish Cattle importing.

Mr. Jones reports from the Committee, to which the Matter touching importing Irish Cattle, was committed, that the Committee had agreed an additional Bill to be presented to the House.

Ordered, That the additional Bill against importing Irish Cattle, be read To-morrow Morning.

Cambridge Pest Houses.

The House then proceeded to the hearing of the Cause upon a Bill for erecting a Pest House near Cambridge:

And the Counsel on both sides, and some Witnesses, being called in; and heard; and the ingrossed Bill read;

The Question being put, That the Bill do pass;

It passed in the Negative.

Poll Tax.

Mr. Comptroller delivered a Paper, containing Duplicates of such Counties, in England and Wales, as is wanting in the Poll Money.

Message from the King- Adjournment.

Mr. Secretary Morrice delivers a Message in Writing, from his Majesty, touching the Adjournment: Which is as followeth; viz.

"The Time of Christmas drawing nigh, his Majesty conceives, that both your own Inclinations, and the Desires of your Countries, may make it seasonable for you to return to your Homes: And therefore his Majesty thinks fit, that there be an Adjournment on the 17th of this Instant December, until the Beginning of February next."

Juries.

Resolved, &c. That the Report concerning Juries be heard.

Sir Thomas Gower having in Part, made Report from the Committee, to which the Matter touching Juries was committed; and the Time of the Day being far spent; and the rest of the Report being long;

Resolved, &c. That the Report concerning Juries be adjourned, to be finished To-morrow Morning.

Committees.

Resolved, &c. That all Committees be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.

Public Accounts.

Ordered, That Mr. Chichley be added to the Committee of Accompts.
