Prayers

Anthony Dugna, Marke Marbert, Charles Trinquand, and Frederick Goenen, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, in order to their Naturalization.

Glass Manufacture.

A Bill for Encouragement of the Glass Manufacture was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Mr. Garraway, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Edm. Jennings, Sir Richard Wynn, Colonel Birch, Sir Cha. Wheeler, Sir Wm. Doyley, Sir John Lowther, Mr. Morrice, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Leigh, Mr. Chetwyn, Sir Lionell Walden, Mr. Jay, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Sam. Bernardiston, Mr. Guy, Sir John Knight, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir John Birkenhead, Mr. Wynn, Mr. Weld, Sir Trever Williams, Mr. Spry, Mr. Price, Lord Burleigh, Sir Edw. Masters, Sir Edw Deering, Sir Tho. Mompesson, Sir John Brampston, Captain Jones, Sir Adam Browne, Mr. Sacheverall, Mr. Child: And they are to meet on Friday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Inner Court of Wards: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Exporting Leather.

Sir John Brampston reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for continuance and perpetuating of a former Act for the Exportation of Leather, some Amendments agreed to be made to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table:

And the Three first Amendments being twice read, and, upon the Question, severally agreed; the Fourth Amendment, for perpetuating the Bill, was twice read.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee in this Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, &c. That the Blank in the First Folio of the Bill be filled up with these Words, "from this Time, for the Space of Five Years next, and from thence to the End of the next Session of Parliament ensuing, and no longer."

The last Amendment was twice read; and, with an Amendment made at the Table, agreed.

A Proviso was tendered to be added to the Bill; and, being twice read, with an Amendment being made at the Table, agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments and Proviso agreed to, be ingrossed.

Malmsbury Election.

Sir Thomas Meres reports from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, the State of the Case, and Evidence, between Mr. Howard and Sir Thomas Estcourt, concerning the Election for the Borough of Malmsbury; and a Vote thereupon agreed by the Committee; viz.

That Sir Thomas Estcourt is well elected to serve in this present Parliament, as a Burgess for the Borough of Malmsbury in the County of Wilts.

Resolved, &c. That the House doth agree with the Committee, that Sir Thomas Estcourt is well elected to serve in this present Parliament, as a Burgess for the Borough of Malmsbury in the County of Wilts.

Further Address recalling Subjects from France.

The House then resumed the further Consideration of his Majesty's Answer to the Address of this House, for Recalling his Subjects which are in Arms in the French King's Service.

The Question being propounded, That a further Address be presented to his Majesty, for Recalling all his Subjects that are in the Service of the French King;

The Question being put, That the Word "all" do stand in the Question;

The House divided.

The Noes go out.

And so it passed in the Negative.
