Privilege- Persons discharged from custody.

ORDERED, That Robert Mason, and Thomas Shewell, now in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, for a Breach of Privilege, be discharged, paying their Fees.

Conference on Highways Bill.

Ordered, That it be referred to Sir Thomas Clargis, Sir * Talbot, Sir Will. Coventry, Sir Thomas Meeres, Colonel Birch, Sir John Brampston, Sir Char. Harbord, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Robert Carr, to prepare Reasons, to offer at a Conference with the Lords, upon the Amendments to the Bill of Highways: And that Sir Thomas Meeres go to the Lords to desire a Conference.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports, that the Lords, being engaged in a Debate, would return Answer by Messengers of their own.

London Poor.

Mr. Steward reports Amendments, agreed to be made to the Bill for Recovery of Arrears of Money, given to the Poor of London: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Westminster Poor.

Ordered, That Leave be given for bringing in the like Bill on the Behalf of Westminster, and the Out Parishes adjacent.

Wey Navigation.

Two Bills, for settling the Navigation of the River Wey in Surrey, were read the Second time.

A Proviso, on the Behalf of Thomas Dalmahoy Esquire, was twice read.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Richard Wiseman, Sir John Talbot, Mr. Griffith, Mr. Cheney, Sir John Brampston, and Mr. Cornewallis, be added to the Committee, to which the Bill concerning Brandy, is committed.

London Poor.

The ingrossed Bill for Recovery of Monies given to the Poor of London, was read; and passed; and sent up to the Lords.

Woodhouse's, &c. Nat.

The ingrossed Bill for Naturalization of Horatio Woodhouse, and others, was read: And the Names of John and George Cock, Sons of George Cock, Merchant, ordered to be inserted: And the Bill passed.

Committee of Grievances.

Ordered, That the Committee of Grievances do sit on Wednesday next: And that the Chairman do make out Summons for Witnesses, then to attend.

Heath's Relief.

The Question being put, That the Bill of Sir John Heath, now tendered, be now received in;

The House divided.

The Yeas go out.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative.

And then the House adjourned till Three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

SIR Thomas Clargis reports Reasons to be offered to the Lords, upon the Conference to be had, upon the Amendments to the Bill concerning Highways: Which were allowed by the House.

Bishop of Rochester's Charities.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for declaring and settling the charitable Uses of the late Bishop of Rochester, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Phillipp Warwicke, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Neale, Sir John Lowther, Sir John Talbott, Sir Gilbert Talbott, Sir Wm. A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Coell and Mr. Halsey;

Lords desire a Conference.

Mr. Speaker, The Lords desire a present free Conference with this House, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference, upon the Amendments to the Bill of Highways:

Yarmouth Pier.

And have returned the Bill of Yarmouth Pier, with some Amendments; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The Messengers being called in, Mr. Speaker acquaints them, That this House had agreed to a present Conference.

Ordered, That the former Managers do manage this Conference.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports, that they had received the Lords Reasons, at the Conference, on the Amendments, to the Bill of Highways.

Ordered, That the Report thereof be made on Monday Morning.

Lady Southhampton's Estate.

Ordered, That Counsel be heard at the Bar on Tuesday Morning, upon the Report to the Bill concerning the Lady Southampton.
