Earl of Manchester's Estate.

SIR John Knight reports from the Committee to whom the Bill sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Robert Earl of Manchester to sell Lands for Payment of his Debts, and for settling other Lands, of a greater Value, in lieu of those appointed to be sold, was committed; That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and had returned it without any Amendment.

Insolvent Debtors.

A Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners for Debt, was read a Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir Edm. Jennings, Mr. Serjeant Maynard, Sir John Mallett, Mr. Mallett, Sir John Knight, Mr. Cheney, Sir John Lowther, Mr. Robinson, Sir John Moreton, Mr. Wynne, Sir Roger Bradshaw, Mr. Robert Wright, Mr. Morris, Sir John Barnaby, Sir Edm. Clargis, Mr. Cheney, Colonel Strode, and all the Members of this House, that serve for the Counties of Surrey and Middlesex, and the Borough of the same: And they are to meet on Friday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Duchy Chamber: And are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Yarmouth Pier.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for charging Commodities, imported into Yarmouth, for repairing and maintaining the Pier of Yarmouth.

Privilege of a Member in a Suit.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant, to the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, to take Thomas Sturmy, an Attorney, into Custody; for his Contempt and Breach of Privilege, in delivering a Declaration into the Outlawry Office, against Mr. Progers, a Member of this House, contrary to Privilege of Parliament.

Supply Bill; building Ships.

A Bill for a Supply of Six hundred thousand Pounds to his Majesty, for building and furnishing of Ships, was delivered in; and read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill for a Supply of Six hundred thousand Pounds to his Majesty, for the building and furnishing Thirty Ships, be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Lords Amendments to Address.

The House then resumed the adjourned Debate, concerning the Amendments of the Lords, delivered at the Conference Yesterday; upon the Address sent from this House on Saturday last.

The first Amendment, for adding the Words "and in Sicily," in the Fourteenth Line, after the Word "Netherlands," being read;

The Question being put, Now to agree with this Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

The Second Amendment, for adding the Words "and Sicily," after the same Word in the Two-and-twentieth Line, being read;

The Question being put, Now to agree with this Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

Naturalizing Children of English Subjects.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edward Low, and Sir John Franklyn;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill, intituled, An Act for the Naturalizing of Children of his Majesty's English Subjects, born in Foreign Countries, during the late Troubles: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Reasons to be offered at Conference.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed, to draw up Reasons upon the Debate of the House, to be offered at a Conference, to be had with the Lords: And that it be referred to those Members, that attended and managed the Conference, to prepare the Reasons, accordingly: And that Mr. Serjeant Maynard, Mr. Serjeant Charleton, and Sir Edward Deering, be added to the said Committee: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.
