Committee of Grievances and Trade.

ORDERED, That the Committee of Grievances do sit this Afternoon; and that the Committee of Trade, which was appointed to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned; and do sit To-morrow in the Afternoon.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived, and do sit in the Places formerly appointed.

Privilege.

The House then resumed the Consideration of the Petition exhibited by Sir John Prettyman, a Member of this House.

And Sir Edward Hungerford, another Member of this House, being the Person most concerned, and being present; and both the Members being heard, in their Places;

Resolved, &c. That the Petition of Sir John Prettyman be committed to Sir Charles Harbord, Colonel Kirby, Sir Robert Steward, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Seymour, Sir Adam Browne, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir John Moreton, Sir Gilbert Talbot, Sir John Knight, Sir Anthony Irby, Colonel Birch, Sir Will. Doyley, Mr. How, Sir Thom. Dolman, Sir John Earnely, Colonel Titus, Lord Obryan, Mr. Grenvile; or any Five of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Ordered, That the Report of the Bill against Conventicles be heard To-morrow Morning.

Knight's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for settling the Manor of Portswood, and other Lands, late of John Knight Gentleman, in the County, and Town and County, of Southampton, in John Parker Serjeant at Law, Mr. Wm. Morgan and Wm. Bleverhasset of London Gentleman, to be sold for Payment of Debts, read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read a Second time.

Supply Bill; Beer and Ale.

The House resumed the Debate upon the additional Bill of Excise, for his Majesty's Supply.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, upon the Debate of the House: And that the House resolve into a Committee thereupon, To-morrow Morning, at Ten of the Clock.

Resolved, &c. That it be an Instruction to the said Committee of the whole House, that the Clauses, which relate to private Persons, living, and brewing, within * Miles of Corporations, and all Clauses relating thereunto, be omitted in the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the Thirty-sixth and Thirty-seventh Clauses, for limiting the Price of Drink, be omitted in the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee consider of the One-and-thirtieth Clause, concerning the Lending of Brewing Vessels: And upon the Debate of the House,

The Question being propounded, That the Penalty in the said Clause, concerning the Lending of Brewing Vessels, be altered;

And the Question being put, That the Question be put;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.
