ORDERED, That Sir John Brampston do carry up the Bill for settling Marsh Lands deserted by, or gained from, the Sea, to the Lords.

Earl of Thanett's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for confirming a Deed of Settlement between the Earl of Thanett and his younger Brothers, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir Phillip Musgrave, Sir Tho. Clifford, Sir Rich. Ford, Sir Solo. Swale, Sir John Heath, Sir Tho. Higgons, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Cha. Micklethwaite's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for impowering the Chancellor of the Duchy to grant Commissions for taking Affidavits in the Duchy Liberty, was read.

Regulating the Press.

An ingrossed Bill for Continuance of a former Act for regulating the Press, was read.

Abbott's Anne Manor.

Leave to attend Lords.

Ordered, That Colonel Legg and Colonel Williams have the Leave of this House to attend, and be examined as Witnesses before the Lords, in the Cause there depending, touching the Estate of Sir Robert Car Baronet: And that Mr. Solicitor General and Mr. Milward have Leave to attend the Lords as Counsel in that Cause.

Courts of Equity.

A Bill for regulating some Proceedings in Courts of Equity, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Bridlington Pier.

Sir Francis Goodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill for repairing and maintaining of Bridlington Pier, was committed, some Amendments agreed to be made, and Provisoes to be added, to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

The Amendments and Provisoes were twice read; and, with the Addition of the Word "continue," and the Words "to the full Value," in the last Proviso, were, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.

Message from the King a Recess.

Mr. Secretary Morrice informs the House, That he had Command from his Majesty to acquaint them, that his Majesty conceived it would be as agreeable to the Inclination of the House, as it is suitable to his Occasions, that there should be a speedy Recess: And that therefore his Majesty had resolved, that the House should rise; and that there should be a Recess positively on To-morrow-sevennight.

Interest on Loans.

A Bill for permitting such Persons, as shall lend Money to supply his Majesty's Occasions, to take above Six Pounds per Cent. Interest, was read the Second time.

Sir Solomon Swale reports from the Committee to which the Bill for confirming a Deed of Settlement between the Earl of Thanett and his younger Brothers was committed, That they had carefully perused the Bill, and found no Cause to make any Amendments thereto: And delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read the Third time To-morrow Morning.
