Debtors Relief.

A BILL for Relief of poor Prisoners was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Morrice, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Edward Masters, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir William Lowther, Sir John Coryton, Mr. Boscawen, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Francis Goodrick, Sir John Bennett, Sir John Cotton, Mr. Jay, Colonel Reymes, Sir Edm. Peirce, Mr. Collyns, Mr. Garraway, Sir William Smith, Mr. Sandys, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. York, Sir Edmond Pooley, Sir John Knight, Sir John Shaw, Sir Anth. Beresford's Estate.

Ordered, That the Committee, to which the Bill for enabling Trustees to sell Lands, for Payment of the Debts of Mr. Beresford, was committed; be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock.

Abuses of Prisons.

Ordered, That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for Regulating of Prisons, and to Prevent Abuses and Miscarriages in Keepers of Prisons, in giving Liberty to Prisoners, whereby their Creditors are defeated of their Debts.

Uniting Churches.

Ordered, That the Bill for Uniting of Churches in Cities and Towns Corporate be read on Friday Morning, the First Bill.

Hertfordshire Roads.

Mr. Crouch reports from the Committee to which the Bill for Continuance of a former Act, for repairing and maintaining the Highways in the County of Hertford, was committed, That the Committee had agreed some Amendments to be made, and Provisoes to be added, to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table. And the Amendments and Provisoes being twice read;

Ordered, That the Word "Easter" be inserted, before the Word "Sessions," in the Second Proviso.

Which was done.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, be ingrossed.

Delays in Executions.

Mr. Rigby reports from the Committee to which the Bill for preventing Delays in Executions was committed, That the Committee had agreed Two Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

The First Amendment was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The other Amendment, being to leave out the last Three Lines of the Bill, was twice read.

The Question being put, To agree to That Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Lord Strangford's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable Trustees to sell Lands, for Payment of the Debts of the Lord Strangford, was read the Second time.

A Proviso, on the Behalf of Mortgagees, and other Creditors, was twice read.

Resolved, That the said Bill and Proviso be committed to Colonel Fretchvile, Sir Philip Warwick, Sir Winst. Churchill, Sir Edw. Masters, Sir Edm. Peirce, Sir John Heath, Sir Henry Herbert, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir John Birkenhead, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Norton Knatchbull, Sir Tho. Higgons, Sir Peter Killigrew, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, Mr. John Vaughan, Mr. Onslow, Mr. Street, Sir Hen Yelverton, Sir Robert Holt, Sir John Bennett, Sir Solo. Swale, Lord Richardson, Sir Wm. Doyley, Sir Hen. Capell, Mr. Edw. Seymour, Sir John Lowther, Mr. Chetwyne, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Evelyn, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Scawen, and all the Members of this House that serve for the County of Kent: And they are to meet on Friday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber; and to summon and hear the Countess Dowager of Tennett, and other Persons concerned; and to take care for the Satisfaction of the Debt due to Mrs. Andrews; and also to take Consideration of the Debt claimedby the Lady Diana Sidney; and such other just Debts as shall be made appear before them: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Repairing Highways.

A Bill for Repair of Highways was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Leigh's Estate.

The Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill to enable Francis Leigh Esquire to sell Lands, for Payment of his Debts, were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Astley's Estate.

The Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill for settling the Estate of Sir Jacob Astley, were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Act of Oblivion.

A Bill to explain the Act of Oblivion, was read the Second time.

Supply Bill.
