Avon Navigation.

A BILL for making the River Avon navigable, from New Sarum to Christ Church, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Hungerford's Estate.

Mr. Yorke reports from the Committee to which the Bill for enabling Sir Edward Hungerford to sell certain Lands in the County of Devon, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and made some Amendments thereto: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the same being twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to;

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Astley's Estate.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee to which the Bill for settling the Estate of Sir Jacob Astley was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and summoned and heard all Parties concerned; and had proceeded to make some Amendments to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the Amendments being twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to;

Darwyn, &c. Navigation.

A Bill for making navigable the River Darwyn, and other Rivers, within the Counties of Derby, Leicester, Stafford, Nottingham, and Warwick, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Mr. Milward, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Tho. Gower, Lord Cornbury, Mr. Law. Hyde, Sir Ed. Hyde, Lord Richardson, Lord Herbert, Sir John Talbot, Sir Hen. Newton, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Solo. Swale, Sir Robert Atkyns, Mr. Yorke, Colonel Trelawney, Mr. John Trelawney, Mr. Chetwyn, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Wm. Sandys, Mr. Dowdswell, Mr. Swinfen, Sir Wm. Hickman, Sir Cliff. Clifton, Sir Rich. Oatley, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Steward, and all the Members of this House that serve for the several Counties of Derby, Leicester, Stafford, Nottingham, and Warwick: And they are to meet on Thursday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send Summons into the several Counties before-mentioned, that such Persons who are concerned may appear after Christmas; and be heard: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Bristoll Navigation.

A Bill for making certain Rivers navigable from London to Bristoll was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir John Talbot, Mr. Sandys, Mr. Seymour, Sir Robert Atkyns, Sir John Knight, Sir Hen. Newton, Mr. Jones, Mr. Scudamore, Mr. Trevor, Mr. Pleydall, Lord Cornbury, Mr. Dowdswell, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Rigby, Colonel Sandys, Sir John Ernley, Mr. Daniell, Sir Wm. Tompson, Mr. John Jones, Mr. Pryn, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Phil. Warwick, Sir John Birkinhead, Colonel Edm. Windham, Sir John Holland, Sir Solo. Swale, Sir John Brampston, Colonel Kirkby, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Nich. Steward, Sir Theo. Biddolph, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Kendall, Sir Phil. Musgrave, Sir Edm. Pooley, Sir Nich. Another Bill, for making Rivers navigable from London to Bristoll, was also read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to the same Committee to which the former Bill was committed: And that the Members of this House that serve for the Counties of Bedford, Essex, and Cambridge, be added to the Committee: And the Committee are to peruse both Bills; and, out of them, to extract such a Bill as may be effectual for doing the Work: And they are to return the Bill with a Blank for the Undertakers; who are to be agreed and settled by the House: And they are to limit a Time for effecting the Work, or else the Commissioners to appoint other Undertakers for the doing of it; and also to consider of a Power of selling the Interest of such as shall be Undertakers, and shall fail to pay their Share of the Charge and Contribution.

Rates.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to extract and bring in a Medium of the Rates of Proportions to be set on the Counties, do make their Report To-morrow at Ten of the Clock.

Fees in Courts.

A Bill for regulating the Fees of Courts, Civil and Ecclesiastical, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Recovery of Tythes.

A Bill for the better Setting out and Recovery of Tythes was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Thursday next.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
